Nested on the lush green slopes of the Bass Valley, The Old Schoolhouse Kernot served the educational needs of the local community for more than 70 years. During this time, the children won many an inter-school garden competition and enjoyed the fruits of their labour from the variety of apples in the established orchard. The school closed in the mid 1980's but has recently undergone a complete renovation and extension to provide relaxed accommodation for those wanting to escape from the pace of city life. Play a leisurely game of tennis on the private court, bushwalk or simply relax in the private garden, enjoying the panoramic views. The schoolhouse has stylish accommodation for eight people, comprising two double bedrooms and a bunkroom which sleeps four.
